This week was a great week that included some "minor" bumps in the road. I was able to meet all deadlines for work assigned and received a brief assessment from my boss that was both encouraging and stress relieving.
I hope I may continue my work productivity so that I may leave on a great note this coming May or qualify for a summer extension with this co-op program. It looks like the team that I am working with is currently looking for a full timer, so I think it would be safe to inquire about that position this week.
Unfortunately I was a bit distracted this weekend due to my commitments with the Army Reserve. I am in no way blasting it at all, its exactly as I said it was, a distraction....... Needless to say running my range went smooth and with out hiccup.
I look forward to this week and the challenges that may come of it. I just hope I can maintain my positive outlook. I worry a bit because I know I will be a bit tired because I really didn't have a weekend.
Off to do some laundry :D

First Week @AMD
My first week at AMD has been filled with HR (Human Resources) paperwork and initial OJT (On the Job Training) sessions. I have acclimated well to Austin and my new apartment. This week I was issued my first job ticket and was able to complete it on time. I didn't feel so useless after that and have been given more opportunities to contribute to the production teams effort to improve AMD products.
This coming week,I hope, will prove to be another productive week. I also took the weekend to escort my wife back home in order for her to get prepared for the Spring of 2010. It was difficult to leave her behind. I know the separation will definitely be worth it; I really hope a job opportunity presents itself so that I may pursue my education at UT Austin. To anybody that may be reading this post check back periodically, I hope to be editing every Sunday at the end of the day.
