My first week at AMD has been filled with HR (Human Resources) paperwork and initial OJT (On the Job Training) sessions. I have acclimated well to Austin and my new apartment. This week I was issued my first job ticket and was able to complete it on time. I didn't feel so useless after that and have been given more opportunities to contribute to the production teams effort to improve AMD products.
This coming week,I hope, will prove to be another productive week. I also took the weekend to escort my wife back home in order for her to get prepared for the Spring of 2010. It was difficult to leave her behind. I know the separation will definitely be worth it; I really hope a job opportunity presents itself so that I may pursue my education at UT Austin. To anybody that may be reading this post check back periodically, I hope to be editing every Sunday at the end of the day.
